MEP Project Engineering Intern

Nichols Engineering is seeking an intern to join the Project Engineering team. The goal of this position is "contract to hire" with an upcoming graduation date in an engineering specific degree. The MEP Project Engineering intern's role is to support the Project Engineers in their daily tasks, managing internal & external deadlines, and learning valuable on the job knowledge to eventually become a Project Engineer.

Example tasks include joining client meetings to assist in note taking & content capture, Complete preliminary mechanical, electrical, and plumbing calculations to aid in the starting stages of a project, Fill in power company load forms using calculations from the Project Engineers, Finalizing project energy reports, With PE direction, updating electrical panel schedules, Aid in internal coordination between M/E/P designs, Aid in documentation of project notes. 

This role is required to be IN PERSON, at our Austin, Tx office and part time (timing of role is somewhat flexible). Must have access to a vehicle, an active driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check.
